Towanda Borough New Parking Ordinance

ATTENTION Towanda Borough Residents, Customers, and Businesses: At the Borough’s Council meeting held on June 6th, the Borough adopted a new Parking Ordinance in our Central Business District. The FREE 3-Hour parking still remains along Main Street, State Street, Park Street, Western end of Pine Street, and Bridge Street. You may park anywhere in the map shown below in green for free, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Once you’ve exhausted your FREE 3 hours within that zone, you have the option to move to a Metered Parking Space through ParkMobile.

The 1st floor of the Parking Garage on State Street is metered and you may pay at the Pay Station located closest to the Police Station, or through ParkMobile by entering in your stall number.

The Council adopted to switch the following streets to hourly metered parking: Court Street, Pine Street, and Washington Street. Please see the map below illustrating these changes in purple.

If you park at a metered spot, the cost is $0.50/hr. You may pay in half-hour increments. ParkMobile offers numerous ways to pay for your spot by either downloading the App, Scanning the QR Code to go to their website, or text “Park” to 77223 and it will walk you through the prompts. If you park in the downtown zones, you will need to enter your license plate number and the amount of time that you would like to park.

If you DO NOT have a Smartphone, you may call 1-877-727-5281 and set up an account and pay for your parking spot.
