The Bradford County Library collection includes adult and children’s books, DVDs, audio books on CD and cassette tape, Reference materials, Local History materials, magazines, daily and weekly newspapers, microfilm and much more.
Through their website, Bradford County Library has access to many online databases.
Our other services include interlibrary loan, eight public computers, and outreach to schools, including daycares and head starts.
The bookmobile provides library service for approximately 25,000 residents through 35 regularly scheduled stops, and presents storytimes at 11 preschools. The bookmobile also attends special community events, typically more than 15 yearly.
There are currently only 7 computers available for public use. Business and for profit groups may use the conference room for 4 hours at a fee of $45 per session, or $65 for the day during the library’s operating hours. There is not a fee for local nonprofits who need to utilize our conference room.
Our Policies
Books, audio books, and educational videos and DVDs check-out for two weeks.
Our reference and local history materials may not be checked out, but may be used and photocopied in the library.
Literacy Program
The Bradford-Wyoming Counties Literacy Program, a division of the County Library, is located at 200 Main Street, Suite 5 Towanda. The literacy program trains volunteer tutors and provides free and confidential “one-to-one” tutoring for adults and teenagers who lack basic reading skills, or who want to learn English as a second language.
