Bradford County is rich in history as evidenced by the number of museums and historical societies chronicling the county’s heritage as a summer retreat for nationally known actors, high-ranking politicians, wealthy business owners, circus performers and as the home of Stephen Foster, the “father of American music,” who wrote “Camptown Races” about the famous Bradford County horse race.
